In August 2015, I met Marika, a Georgian, a mother of three, a winemaker's wife, a writer, a playwright, and a muse. During the next few years, I took Marika's portraits repeatedly.
I made the first portrait of Marika after photographing her husband, Jimmy, a Georgian winemaker, whom I was assigned to shoot for a cover of Simple Wine News magazine.
In 2016, we did a series of photographs of Marika
as a huntress, also shooting a short video portrait.
