In September 2015, the Russian band Burito invited me and stylist Tatiana Almond to create key visuals for their debut album.
Burito is a Russian alternative electronic band. Despite your first thought, their name doesn't come from Mexican cuisine, but stands for Japanese hieroglyphs Bu (warrior), Ri (truth) and To (sword).
All costumes, props and settings are mostly created using... materials from the nearest construction store.
We will collaborate with Burito again: in 2017 to shoot cover and album art for their White Album, and then in 2019 for the most mind-blowing photography course in history.
